How do I buy Bitcoin or Ethereum?

1) Buying Crypto IRL

The easiest way to buy BTC or ETH is to drive to a Crypto ATM near you, transfer cash/card into crypto, then send it to your Coincast Address.

We recommend using Bitcoin Depot's Crypto ATMs, you can find out if one is located near you here: bitcoindepot.com. You can also just ask Siri/Google to "Find a Bitcoin ATM near me", they're everywhere!

Once you arrive at a Crypto ATM, it will eventually ask for your Bitcoin or Ethereum address. Please open your Coincast app, navigate to the deposit screen, select Bitcoin or Ethereum, and select the 'QR Code' option to display your address on your phone's screen in QR form, then scan the QR code on the crypto ATM. This will allow the crypto ATM to deposit funds directly into your Coincast account.

Notes:
•If a crypto ATM asks for you to create a PIN, do NOT use your Coincast PIN.
•Though we recommend you use BitcoinDepot ATMs to purchase your cryptocurrency, there may not be any near you. Feel free to search for other crypto ATMs nearby—you'd be surprised how many exist just down the road!
•ONLY ever send Bitcoin or Ethereum to your Coincast account. We do not currently support any other cryptocurrencies. (We do NOT support variations of Bitcoin such as BitcoinCash or BitcoinSV. We do not support variations of Ethereum such as Ethereum Classic. We do not support erc20 tokens or any other tokens)
•Cryptocurrency can take a few moments to transfer depending on the network speed, don't be alarmed if it does not show up after several minutes, just rest easy and check back later.

2) Buying Crypto Online

If you can not find a crypto ATM near you, you may resort to buying crypto online. There are a number of online crypto exchanges that will allow you to purchase cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin and Ethereum. You should choose an exchange that allows you to also transfer crypto off of the exchange to a wallet. Two of the most popular online exchanges are Coinbase.com and Binance.us

After purchasing your Bitcoin or Ethereum on an online exchange, find the withdraw or send button (it often is represented with a paper airplane icon), then paste your Coincast Bitcoin or Ethereum address accordingly and confirm the withdrawal. To find your Coincast Bitcoin or Ethereum address, open your Coincast app, navigate to the deposit screen, then select Bitcoin or Ethereum, and your address will appear in text form.
